Global Adventures

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.” - Mark Twain

As I’ve already mentioned, I LOVE to travel! My first international adventure came when I crossed the border into Mexico in college to visit Tijuana and Ensenada. After that came Canada, Japan, Hong Kong, England, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, various Caribbean Islands, Greece, Turkey, Spain, Costa Rica, Ireland, and Scotland. Each country has presented its own interesting sights, sounds, smells, foods, styles, music, and history. In each, I have filled our itineraries - and there’s always more I want to see. Fortunately, my husband has been a wonderful traveling companion and likes to spend as long as I do in museums, reading as much as possible along the way. Again, this page is a work in progress, with just a few highlights of some of our international travels, but here are a few of my favorites photos.
